Doggie Mat

Doggie Placemat

Our new little puppy is a messy eater! Making this cure placemat was super simple! Here’s how:

Carpet square

Acrylic paint

Thick craft foam

Glue gun

Foam brush

Paper plate

  1. Look for a carpet square that is rather smooth. Too much texture makes it hard to stamp on and get a nice clear image.
  2. Draw out your image on the craft foam and cut it out. Using your left over pieces glue two pieces to one side to make a handle.
  3. Paint one side of your stamp and apply it to the carpet. Let dry
  4. Once your paint is dry you can wash over it. Acrylic paint is there to stay!

Make-Up Brushes 101

When you want to do a go good at anything you need the right tools right? Well it’s the same for your make-up. Having good brushes to apply your face is a must!! Gloria shows us the basic tools we need to get started. Most importantly she shows us what to do with them! Just like anything else good tools cost money. so once you make the investment taking care of your brushes will insure they last a long time.

Here are a few tips to clean your brushes:

  • Use Baby shampoo to clean.
  • Wet the brush and gently with your fingers work in the shampoo.
  • Rinse and reapeat until all the make up is gone and the water is clear.
  • Shake or press out the excess water with a cloth. Lay flat to dry.
  • Wash your brushes once a week.
  • Never let them soak in anything. This will for sure damage your brushes.

Decoupage 101

Decoupage is one of my favorite pastimes.  It is so easy and inexpensive. If you always wanted to know how or just didn’t know how to get started you will learn so much from this video.  After that I’m sure there will be no stopping your creativity!

Party Caddy

My assistant Lisa made this as a result of a video I did last summer.  The inspiration was there, but she created her own version.  It’s so simple.  You can use this for any occasion or make some for friends and fill them with wine or whatever goodies you come up with.

1.  Using a 6-pack wine caddy, spray paint with any color you desire.  Paint while flat, then open it up and spray the inside covering as much of the cardboard as possible.  Let dry.

2.  Add embellishments, paint pictures or add ribbons and create a theme of your choice.

3.  Fill with appropriate items for your party or gift.
